TUESDAY JANUARY 7, 2025 DEPART FOR BARCELONA

Depart your hometown and take an international flight to Barcelona (flight price not included). 

WEDNESDAY JANUARY 8, 2025: BARCELONA, SPAIN

Arrive in the Barcelona and proceed through passport control and customs. Meet your transfer/tour driver in the airport, and continue to the air-conditioned van/mini-coach to begin your city tour around Barcelona. See the highlights of the city, and stop at Gaudi's Park Guell for a visit with included skip-the-line tickets. Continue your city tour and then arrive at the port to embark your home for the next week, the Windstar Star Legend motor yacht.

Embark our ship and settle in. After a sumptuous lunch in Veranda, maybe sun yourself on deck, take a dip in the whirlpool, or order a cheese plate for your stateroom or suite. Perhaps you’ll begin your trip with a relaxing massage in World Spa by Windstar. Or maybe an invigorating workout in the Fitness Center. Even better, why not both? After dinner, dance to live music in the Lounge. This is your yacht, so of course you’re welcome on the Bridge, where the Captain and officers are delighted to share charts, routes, and vistas with you.

What are the differences between all these stateroom categories?

All of the Ocean View and Balcony staterooms are the same size, 277 square feet, with a very spacious feeling layout. The staterooms that include 'Star' in the name means that the bed is closer to the window or balcony, with the living area closer to the door. For those categories that don't include the word 'Star' in the name, it means the bed is closer to the door and the living area is closer to the window or balcony.

Beyond that, the difference between similarly named categories is the deck location. For example, Ocean View Suite 1 is on deck 4, Ocean View Suite 2 is on deck 5, Ocean View Suite 3 is on deck 6.

How does the All-Inclusive Drink Package work onboard?

It's quite lovely the way they handle it. While they will give you a sticker for your key card, you really never need it. When you place a drink order, the server will ask your room number. They will look it up and see you have the All Inclusive package, and will just bring you your drink - you don't need to show your card and there is no ticket to sigh.

Unlimited Beverage Package, includes all domestic and imported beer, 33 varieties of wine or sparkling wine by the glass, plus cordials, liqueurs, aperitifs, cocktails, and mini-bar items. Cocktails are based on house and select brands, and guests may choose from more than 40 liquors such as Grey Goose, Hendricks, Johnny Walker Black, Ketel One, Glenfiddich, Hennessy, and more (brands rotate and are subject to availability.)

What do we need to do to reserve this trip?

What else is needed to reserve this trip?

We'll need your passport details for arrangements we will make. To provide your passport, the easiest thing to do is to use your phone to take a picture of the information page of your passport (the page with your picture, passport number, expiration date, etc), and then forward the passport image to passports@recess4grownups.com.

Do we need a visa?

No, you do not need a visa. However, your passport must be valid for at least three (3) months (6 months is strongly recommended) after the scheduled return date to your home country.

What about international flights?

The costs of international flights are not included in the trip cost. We'll assist you with looking at the flight options that best fit your preferences.
