Join Monsignor Joe Corbett (Pastor of St. Jude the Apostle) and Monsignor Frank McNamee (Rector of Christ the King) on a memorable nine-night tour of Ireland in 2020.

Monsignor Frank and Monsignor Joe will each commemorate their Jubilee in Ireland, each celebrating Mass in his hometown church in thanksgiving for the 25th anniversary of ordination. In addition to traveling with them for these special events, we'll travel throughout the Emerald Isle and follow Saint Patrick's Trail, visit Kilkenny Castle, explore the ruins of Glendalough, and see the UNESCO World Heritage Site Giant's Causeway. We'll also visit Cliffs of Moher, Titanic Belfast, and enjoy walking tours of Galway and Waterford.

Depart Shannon and travel to County Clare and the coastal town of Doolin, known for its traditional Irish music. Have lunch at a local venue and your first experience with the fabulous Irish hospitality.

Continue down the coast a bit to view the Cliffs of Moher, one of Ireland's most beloved, natural landmarks. This impressive wall of rock rises to almost 700 feet above the foaming Atlantic breakers - Ireland at its most natural, rugged, panoramic and breathtaking. Head north to Galway and check into your hotel where you will have free time before dinner. After settling in, enjoy dinner in your hotel. (L & D)

Today you have your choice of two options, either in Galway or the Marian Shrine of Knock. In Galway, join a local guide for a gentle walking tour, where you will see the medieval city walls, Lynch’s Castle and the narrow streets. After your leisurely walk, enjoy free time for lunch and exploring Galway.

Ireland Knock ShrineOr, you may choose to visit the church-approved Marian pilgrimage site of Knock. This morning drive to the village of Knock where local people saw an apparition of the Virgin Mary on the gable wall of the church in 1879. Experience a guided tour of the beautiful grounds and gardens at Knock Shrine, while your guide narrates the story of Knock in fascinating detail. After lunch on your own in the village of Knock return to our hotel in Galway.

Late this afternoon, depart Galway and drive west through County Galway to Loughrea, which means "The town of the grey lake". Loughrea sits on the shore on Loughrea Lake, and is the Cathedral Parish of the Diocese of Clonfert. St. Brendan's Catholic Cathedral is arguably one of the country's greatest contributions to European art of the twentieth century. Loughrea also happens to be Monsignor Frank's hometown. Monsignor Frank will celebrate Mass today on the 25th anniversary of his ordination. Afterward we'll have a celebration reception in a local establishment. Return to your Galway hotel after a fun evening in Loughrea. (B & D)

OVERNIGHT: Galway Bay Hotel, Galway


Ireland Kilkenny CastleThis morning depart Galway and head south toward Waterford. Stop first in the medieval city of Kilkenny, which is renowned for its massive castle. Arrive in Kilkenny and celebrate Mass in a local church. Afterward have lunch in Lanigans Legends Hurling Bar, regarded as Irelands only Hurling Bar Museum. It is dedicated to the game of hurling, a Gaelic sport heralded as the world’s fastest field team game.

Tour the massive Kilkenny Castle, home of the Butlers, Earls and Dukes of Ormonde, who held power over the region for centuries.The castle estate boasts both formal and informal gardens, which overlooks the Nore River. The castle was first built in 1192 and you will learn about the region as you see wonderful paintings and furniture.

Depart Kilkenny and continue to Waterford and check into your hotel. You may wish to relax or freshen up before dining on your own and then check out some of the nearby pubs and listen to traditional music. (B & L)

Ireland Waterford Jack Burthaell Walking TourToday, take a short walking tour through the older sections of Waterford with a local guide. Walk along Merchant's Quay where ships docked in former times and see the Clock Tower. Pass Reginald's Tower, City Hall, Theatre Royal and many other places. Then you can visit either House of Waterford Crystal or Waterford Treasures before enjoying some time on your own.

Late this afternoon, depart Waterford and travel along the south coast to Stradbally, Monsignor Joe’s hometown. Monsignor Joe will celebrate Mass today on the 25th anniversary of his ordination. Afterward gather in a local establishment for a celebration reception. Return to your hotel in Waterford after a lively evening in Stradbally. (B & D)

St. Kevin's kitchen in Glendalough, IrelandThis morning travel through the scenery of the Wicklow Mountains on the way to Glendalough, one of Ireland’s most beautiful destinations. There you’ll explore the remains of one of the most important monastic sites in Ireland, Glendalough, with its ruins of a round tower, churches, and Celtic crosses. We'll celebrate Mass at the nearby parish named after St. Kevin, then go to a local restaurant for lunch.

Then motor a short distance to Dublin, where we will board the train for a ride to Belfast (with no worries of managing luggage as it will be driven to Belfast). See Ireland from a different perspective. Enjoy the pleasure of a comfortable train ride, where you can sit back, relax and enjoy the ever changing scenery of the Irish countryside unfold. When you arrive in the Belfast station, your motorcoach is waiting to take you to your city center hotel. Check into your hotel and settle into your room. You may wish to relax or freshen up before dinner with your group in the hotel. (B, L & D)

Northern Ireland-Giants Causeway-ws-CIEDrive north along the Glens of Antrim, one of Ireland’s popular scenic routes to discover lovely views of mountains, valleys, and coastline. This area is where many scenes from “Game of Thrones” were filmed. Visit The Causeway Coast Discovery Centre for a turf-cutting demonstration.

Visit the natural wonder that is Giant’s Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This impressive area of hexagonal columns was formed more than 60 million years ago by the slow and even cooling and contraction of molten lava. The Visitors Centre has some very interesting exhibits and background on the folklore associated with this incredible site. Celebrate Mass at a church in the area before returning to Belfast for a free evening to try out some local restaurants. (B)

Northern Ireland Downpatrick Inch AbbeyDepart Belfast and follow the Saint Patrick’s Trail to Downpatrick. Arrive in Downpatrick which is the burial site of Saint Patrick and medieval capital of County Down. Visit the Saint Patrick Centre, the only exhibition in the world dedicated to telling the story of Saint Patrick. While here, learn about his life, work and the founding of many monasteries, which had a profound influence on Ireland’s development in the early Christian era. After exploring the Saint Patrick Centre, visit the Medieval Cathedral of Down: Church of the Holy Trinity and Saint Patrick’s Grave. Celebrate Mass in Downpatrick.

Have lunch at a local venue before continuing on to visit Saul Church, known as the Cradle of Christianity in Ireland, and where Patrick died on 17 March 461. Then motor a short distance to visit Inch Abbey, a 12th century massive monastic ruin site on the bank of the River Quoile. Most recently the site has been used as a filming location for the Game of Thrones. Depart County Down and return to Belfast for a free evening on your final night in Northern Ireland. (B & L)

Northern Ireland-Belfast-Titanic BelfastThis morning visit Titanic Belfast, a truly remarkable visitor center. Embark on a journey through the life of the Titanic, from her conception in Belfast in the early 1900s, through her construction and launch, to her famous maiden voyage and tragic end. Through state of the art technology, the exhibition's nine interactive galleries take you back to the sights, sounds and stories of Titanic as well as the City and people which made her. The exhibition also explores the discovery of the wreck and has live links to current marine expeditions.

Depart Belfast and travel south to Drogheda where you will celebrate Mass. Continue on to our hotel in Dublin to check in. This evening we gather together for a festive farewell dinner.

OVERNIGHT: Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Dublin


Dublin IrelandThis morning take an orientation drive around Dublin city center. Dublin is one of the liveliest capitals in Europe but there are plenty of historical places also. See the main thoroughfares of O’Connell Street and Nassau Street, the shopping streets and some lovely public parks.

The remainder of the day and evening is at leisure. Included in your tour is a voucher for your choice of two classic Dublin experiences: Guinness Storehouse or the Old Jameson Distillery. Pick your favorite and enjoy a visit with a taste. Visit the Guinness Storehouse, where your tour ends with a visit in the roof-top ‘Gravity Bar’ featuring 360 degree views overlooking Dublin, where you can sample a draft Guinness and enjoy the view of the city. Or, you might want to tour the Old Jameson Distillery where you can learn about distillation processes for this “water of life”, and enjoy a sample. In the evening, you can dine at one of the many traditional or modern dinner venues located within the city. (B)

After breakfast you will transfer to the Dublin Airport for return flight home to Atlanta.

By signing below (or clicking “I agree” online), you agree to the following terms and conditions. Recess 4 Grownups LLC (“we” or “us”) acts as an agent for CIE Tours International, which provides the tour described in your itinerary (the “Tour”), and these terms and conditions apply to the Tour.

What the Tour Price Includes: hotel accommodations based on double occupancy (we will charge an additional fee for any single room accommodations), full Irish breakfast each morning (after the first overnight), transport by luxury motor coach with a driver and professional Irish tour guide throughout tour, specific lunches and dinners as specified in the itinerary, visits and admission fees as described in the itinerary, hotel porterage, service charges, and taxes, and flight bags, ticket wallets, baggage tag, and identifying luggage strap. Airfare is available as an option in the land/air tour package, and is available through a block of coach class group air seats. Not included: Airfare, if not purchased as land/air tour package option; meals not specifically identified; alcohol with included dinners unless specifically identified; gratuities payable to guides and drivers; airport transfers for travelers not on group flights; other personal expenses; and anything not specifically listed in inclusions. If you would like to add additional nights to your tour, we would be happy to arrange this at additional cost and subject to availability of accommodations. 30 participants are needed to operate the tour.

Reservations and Deposits: All prices are in U.S. Dollars, and based on double occupancy.

  • $1,500.00 per person and a completed Guest Reservation Form (“Reservation Form”) are required with this Participant Agreement to reserve space for the Tour.
  • Full payment is due July 2, 2020.

Client Cancellation & Refund Policy: If you choose to cancel your reservation, we must receive written notice of said cancellation either via certified mail, overnight courier, or e-mail sent to (with confirmation of receipt from us in order to be effective), and you will be subject to the following cancellation fee schedule:

  • If we receive written notice on or after October 11, 2019 but before July 1, 2020, you will incur a cancellation fee of $900.00 per person.
  • If we receive written notice on or after July 2, 2020, or if you are a no-show, you will incur a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the Tour price. If a flight or other delay for any reason prevents you from joining the Tour on the Tour start date, you will be considered a no-show, and we cannot provide a full or partial refund or credit toward a future Tour, but you may join the Tour late if you wish.

Please note that airline cancellation and change fees are not included. Please also note that your decision not to travel due to State Department advisories, fear of travel, price of airfare, or any other reason will constitute cancellation by you. No refund or credit will be given for any unused features or early departures for any reason. No refund or credit will be given for any unused features or early departures for any reason.

Operator Cancellation or Substitution: We will make commercially reasonable efforts to keep the itinerary as it has been published; however, the final itinerary may vary due to factors beyond our control. We may in our sole discretion substitute services or goods of similar quality for any service or good stated in the Itinerary. If a tour is cancelled, our liability is limited to a full refund of your deposits less any non-refundable expenditures to destination service providers, and we will not be liable for any other costs, damages, or refunds of any kind for any loss, delay, inconvenience, disappointment, or expense whatsoever in such circumstances. If for reasons beyond our control, a Tour in progress must be interrupted or cancelled, we will in good faith consider refunding a portion of the Tour price depending on our actual costs incurred compared to the Tour as originally contemplated. Should Monsignor Frank McNamee and/or Monsignor Joe Corbett be unable to participate in this event, every effort will be made to secure a substitute to lead this pilgrimage/tour. Regardless of the participation of Monsignor Frank McNamee or Monsignor Joe Corbett the tour will proceed as scheduled on the dates listed. By signing this form to participate in this tour, you agree that the terms of the cancellation penalty will be binding upon you regardless of whether Monsignor Frank McNamee or Monsignor Joe Corbett is able to participate. Recess 4 Grownups, LLC will not be responsible for any loss incurred by traveler, including lost days of the scheduled tour, due to a cancelled flight or other means and modes of transportation. Please investigate purchasing travel insurance as recommended, to cover any type of loss associated with cancelled air or other transportation.

Force Majeure: Recess 4 Grownups shall not be responsible for failure to perform any of its obligations under this Agreement during any period in which such performance is prevented or delayed due to Force Majeure, nor for changes to or termination of your trip due to Force Majeure. "Force Majeure" refers to any event beyond Recess 4 Grownups reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, fire, flood, mudslides, earthquakes, war, labor disputes, strikes, epidemics, World Health Organization's advisories and/or alerts, disease, pandemic, virus, illness, Center for Disease Control's advisories and/or alerts, U.S. State Department's advisories and/or alerts, any order of any local, provincial or federal government authority, interruption of power services, terrorism or any other causes beyond the control of Recess 4 Grownups.

Trip Cancellation Insurance: Travel Insurance is highly recommended to protect your travel investment. Please see the optional trip insurance offered for the Tour.

Accommodations: Guest accommodations during the Tour are double or twin occupancy and will include fully equipped, en-suite bathrooms. We will charge an additional fee for any single room accommodations.

Certification of Guest’s Health; Responsibility to Inform Us of Disabilities or Pregnancy: You hereby certify that you do not have any condition or disability that would create a hazard for you or other guests participating in the Tour, and that you understand that health care standards, facilities, and services abroad may be different or even inadequate for treating injuries or illness. You agree to inform us via certified mail or e-mail sent to (with confirmation of receipt from us) at the time you tender your first payment of the Tour Fee (or at such later time when you become aware of such a condition) of any existing physical or mental illness, disability, pregnancy or any other condition for which you may require medical attention or special accommodation during the Tour. We make no guarantee to be able to accommodate you for such condition during the Tour, and we make no representations or warranties regarding special accommodations or handicap accessibility on the Tour.

Group Air: A group air block of 32 seats are available first-come, first-served at the published tour price. These seats are on Delta from Atlanta to Shannon on September 29, 2020 and return from Dublin to Atlanta on October 9, 2020. There is seat block for the option to arrive in Ireland a day prior to tour start – these seats depart from Atlanta to Shannon on September 28, 2020 with same group return. Group air contracts include some restrictions: Due to the airlines’ reduced capacity and restrictive group reservation terms, group air reservations are often difficult to coordinate. The number of connections, length of layovers, and all conditions surrounding air travel cannot be guaranteed and may change before departure. Accordingly, if you require specific air travel needs and are not flexible concerning group air travel, you may wish to consider purchasing a Land-Only package and secure your own preferred air arrangements. Please note that group seats are assigned “at the discretion of the airline”, although every effort will be made to fulfill requests, SPECIFIC SEAT ASSIGNMENTS CANNOT AND WILL NOT BE GUARANTEED. Seat numbers may not be advised until check in at the airport. If you require specific seats, Recess 4 Grownups, LLC suggests you book the tour package as “land only” and arrange your own air. In regard to Delta Skymiles, it is common for carriers to give partial or no credit for group flights. It is important to give your frequent flyer number at time of final payment to make sure any eligible miles will be recorded. Group air is economy class and is not upgradable to first class, business, economy plus, etc. To travel with an upgrade, you must choose "Land Only" and book independent air. Recess 4 Grownups can assist with making alternate flight reservations for economy comfort and first class air. Checked baggage fees are not included in this tour package price. Most airlines charge fees ranging from free to $75 per bag one way. Checked baggage is limited to one bag per person. Details of Checked baggage and Carry On Luggage allowances will be in your final travel documents. Baggage is at owner’s risk throughout the tour.

Land Only: Those electing to make their own air arrangements will travel "Land Only". In this case, you must notify Recess 4 Grownups no less than 60 days before departure, be responsible for meeting the group at a specified location and time on the tour. Land only passengers are responsible for arranging and the cost of transfers to and from the airport. Wait until you have received confirmation of tour reservation before making flight arrangements.

Responsibility/Liabilities: We act only in the capacity of agent for CIE Tours International and the other suppliers of the travel services named in the itinerary or otherwise providing services or goods in connection with the Tour (the Suppliers”), such as hotels and other lodging providers, local hosts, sightseeing tour operators, bus lines, car rental companies, driving services, restaurants, and providers of entertainment. We assume no responsibility for any personal injury, property damage, or other loss, accident, delay, inconvenience, or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason (1) any act or omission of any of the Suppliers or airlines providing flights to or from your Tour, or (2) any matter beyond our exclusive control including but not limited to a delay or cancellation of a flight that causes you to miss any portion of the Tour. We have no special knowledge regarding the financial condition of the Suppliers, unsafe conditions, health hazards, weather hazards, or climate extremes at locations to which you may travel. For information concerning possible dangers at destinations, we recommend contacting the Travel Warnings Section of the U.S. State Department at (202) 647-5225 or and click on “Travel Warnings.” For medical information, we recommend contacting the Centers for Disease Control at (877) FYI-TRIP or You assume full and complete responsibility for checking and verifying all passport and visa requirements of the destinations and for complying with all laws of the country in the itinerary. When traveling abroad, your passport must be valid for at least six months following your visit. For more information, see the US Department of State website information on passports. You are also responsible for respecting the authority and following the directions of the Tour guide during a Tour. We may exclude you from participating in all or any part of the Tour if, in our sole discretion, your condition behavior renders you unfit for the Tour or unfit for continuation once the Tour has begun. Unfitness may include, without limitation, any behavior that, regardless of its cause, is inappropriate or offensive or interferes with the delivery of Tour services or may constitute a hazard or embarrassment. In such case, our liability shall be strictly limited to refund of the recoverable cost of any unused portion of the Tour. Should you decide not to participate in certain parts of the Tour or use certain Goods included in the Tour, no refunds will be made for those unused parts of the Tour or Goods. You must be over the age of 18 to participate in the Tour. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from and against any costs, damages, losses, or liabilities arising out of your or your companions’ actions or omissions or (if you checked the box indicating that you are signing or agreeing on behalf of yourself and your traveling companions) arising out of your companions’ claims that you were not authorized to sign or agree.

General: Any dispute related to the Tour shall be governed by Georgia law without regard to conflict of laws principles. The federal or state courts in Georgia shall be the exclusive forum for any lawsuit related to the Tour, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction by said courts. You agree to present any claims against us within 30 days after the Tour ends and to file within one year of the incident, and you acknowledge that this expressly limits the applicable statute of limitations to one year. We are not responsible for typographical or pricing errors. You agree to grant us (and third parties with whom we may engage in joint marketing) a worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid-up license to use your photographic, video, or digital likeness solely for our promotional purposes. For this pilgrimage, your name will be shared with other participants prior to the tour; after the tour, you will must notify Change@Recess4Grownups if you do not want your contact details shared with the group members. Facsimile transmission of any signed document shall be deemed delivery of an original. At our request, you shall promptly provide an original document as well. If there are any conflicts between this Participant Agreement, the Reservation Form, and the Itinerary, this Participant Agreement shall apply.

For California Residents: We are a registered Seller of Travel in the State of California (CST 2103869-40). Registration as a Seller of Travel does not constitute approval by the State of California. We are not a participant in the California Travel Consumer Restitution Fund. California law requires certain sellers of travel to have a trust account, and we have a trust account at Bank of America.
