Camino Walk Q & A

What is the Camino Holy Year 2021?

The 2021 Camino Holy Year is a year when the feast of St. James, the patron saint of the Camino, falls on a Sunday. The last Holy Year was in 2010.  Jacobean tradition states that those who walk the Camino to Santiago de Compostela and through the Holy Door of the Santiago Cathedral during a holy year will have all their sins forgiven.

2021 will be an exciting and celebratory year with many people making the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela.

How does the luggage transfer work?

Each morning you will leave your luggage in the hotel lobby. It will be transported to our next hotel and waiting there when you arrive. All you need for our daily walk is a light backpack filled with essentials such as water, food, and a light jacket.

How will I get in shape to walk the Camino?

We’ll be sharing a recommended training plan to prepare for walking the Camino, plus some fun ways to share the preparation together among our group with a virtual walking tour. We’ll also plan some other activities regarding choosing appropriate walking shoes and equipment, and guidance from a long-distance hiker with tips and tricks.
