Enjoy the most emblematic sights the city has to offer. We will start with a sightseeing tour from the bus that will take you up Passeig de Gracia, where you will see the most famous Gaudi houses, Casa Battlo and La Casa Mila (La Pedrera) as well as other majestic buildings of the Modernism era.

Then we head to the sea where you will be able to admire the intense changes the city underwent with the organization of the Olympic Games in 1992. You will drive by the Olympic Village, the Olympic Port, the beach and the fisherman’s quarter, the Port Vell, Plaza de Colon with its famous Columbus monument, which is also the beginning of the famous Ramblas of Barcelona. During our city tour we will stop at a nearby church to celebrate Mass.

We will arrive at the Plaza de Catalunya, the starting point of the guided walking tour of the old city center. Our guide will take you through the narrow street of the Gothic quarter and plaza Sant Jaume where the city hall is located and the headquarters of the Catalonian government.

Experience one of the highlights of our trip as we step into the awe-inspiring world of Sagrada Familia, a masterpiece of architectural marvel and spiritual significance. Designed by the visionary Antoni Gaudí, this basilica isn't just an design masterpiece but a testament to his deep Catholic faith. Marvel at the intricate façade and heavenly interiors that reflect the glory of God’s creation, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking to experience the profound intersection of art and devotion.

We continue on to our hotel to settle in, and then enjoy dinner together this evening.

Overnight: Barcelona Hotel

This morning we drive outside Barcelona to visit the Monastery of Monserrat, nestled high in  the stunning Montserrat mountain range, and offering a serene escape and a deep spiritual journey. As you approach, marvel at the breathtaking views and the striking architecture of the monastery, home to the revered Black Madonna. This sacred sculpture, known as La Moreneta, is believed to have miraculous healing powers, drawing pilgrims from around the world to seek blessings and offer prayers. This sacred site has been a pilgrimage destination for centuries, inviting visitors to reflect and find solace amidst its serene surroundings. We’ll have a guided visit of the grounds and church, along with free time for your own spiritual pursuits. We’ll return to Barcelona to celebrate Mass before we drive to the port to embark your home for the next week, the Windstar Wind Surf sailing ship.

Embark our ship and settle in. After a sumptuous lunch in Veranda, maybe sun yourself on deck, take a dip in the whirlpool, or order a cheese plate for your stateroom or suite. Perhaps you’ll begin your trip with a relaxing massage in World Spa by Windstar. Or maybe an invigorating workout in the Fitness Center. Even better, why not both? After dinner, dance to live music in the Lounge. This is your sailing yacht, so of course you’re welcome on the Bridge, where the Captain and officers are delighted to share charts, routes, and vistas with you.

Overnight: Windstar Wind Surf

Mallorca is steep, green, and fringed with enticing coves and more than 200 lush beaches. But all that natural beauty is just the beginning. Stroll along the tree-shaded Paseo de Born in search of tapas. Shop for a Siurell; a traditional red, green, and white clay whistle dating back to the time of the Moors. Watch the street performers on the piazza around the church, or cross the island to beautiful Sóller. Not to be missed is the cultural landscape of the Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Overnight: Windstar Wind Surf

The walled town of Cartagena is a popular seaport with a large naval shipyard. The seashore offers a wide range of activities from windsurfing to good snorkeling to sailing. From Cartagena you can easily explore the ancient city of Murcia, the coastal resorts of Mazarrón, Cala Cortina, and Cabo de Palos or a little further north, the world famous resort of Mar Menor.

Today, embark on an exclusive journey to Granada and the awe-inspiring Alhambra Palace, along with the serene Generalife Gardens. Our comfortable and modern coach, fully air-conditioned, will take us through the picturesque Andalusian countryside during our two-hour transfer.

Upon reaching the Alhambra Palace, you'll be enchanted by a labyrinth of majestic halls and cozy courtyards, adorned with graceful arches, sparkling fountains, and intricate carvings. We'll explore the Palace of Charles V, a pinnacle of Spanish Renaissance architecture, and the Alcazaba fortress with its Torre de la Vela tower, boasting breathtaking views of Granada.

Our adventure continues with a visit to the Generalife, a royal retreat featuring exotic gardens, mesmerizing water features, and the delightful scent of jasmine lingering in the air.

In the afternoon, we'll delve into the historic heart of Granada, rich with Moorish, Christian, and Jewish cultural heritage. You'll have the opportunity to wander the medieval Moorish Albaicín neighborhood, winding through narrow streets lined with quaint Arab shops, cozy restaurants, and charming tea houses. Admire the stunning views of the Alhambra from the banks of the River Darro.

It’s an odd bit of Britain here at the toe of Spain, with Barbary apes and miles of tunnels as well as traditional red phone boxes. Legend says Gibraltar was one of the two pillars erected by Hercules to mark the edge of the world. Take the cable car to the top to see if you can see it from here. No, that’s not it. That’s just Africa. What a view.

OVERNIGHT: Windstar Wind Surf

Cádiz is the most southern province of the Iberian Peninsula. It is extremely rich in natural beauty and some of the most important Natural Parks of Spain and Europe are found here including Sierra de Grazalema and los Alcornocales. Both are rich in flora and fauna, including species under threat of extinction. Many birds find their resting and feeding place here just after or before making the jump from or to Africa.

OVERNIGHT: Windstar Wind Surf

This morning, arrive at Lisbon's cruise terminal where you’ll disembark the elegant Wind Surf and meet your knowledgeable guide. Get ready to immerse yourself in the rich history and heritage of Lisbon, a city where ancient traditions seamlessly blend with modern charm. Due to its narrow streets and hilly terrain, much of our exploration will be on foot, giving you an up-close look at the city's highlights.

Begin your journey in Belém, home to the exquisite Monastery of Jeronimos, the iconic Tower of Belém, and the evocative Monument to the Discoveries. These landmarks are not just architectural marvels but also stand as testaments to Portugal's age of exploration.

We then delve into Lisbon’s oldest district: the Alfama. This enchanting neighborhood dates back to the Moorish era, long before the Christian "Re-Conquest" of the Iberian Peninsula. Meander through its labyrinthine alleyways and feel transported to a time when Alfama was the heart of this illustrious city.

Next, embark on a walking tour through the heart of Lisbon, exploring the Baixa district, known as the historic and financial core, and the chic Chiado neighborhood, with its upscale shops and boutiques. Stroll through historic squares like Praça do Comércio, Rossio, and Praça dos Restauradores, and traverse major thoroughfares such as Rua Augusta and the grand Avenida da Liberdade.

After checking into our hotel and taking some time to relax, prepare for our exciting evening event. We’ll cap off the day with a traditional Fado show and dinner. Fado is Lisbon’s soulful genre of music, characterized by its mournful tunes and lyrics that speak of longing and nostalgia. Enjoy a captivating performance as you dine, and let the haunting melodies provide the perfect soundtrack to your Lisbon adventure.

OVERNIGHT: Lisbon Hotel

Start your day with a heartfelt journey to the sacred town of Fatima, a place of profound spiritual significance. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by the serene and awe-inspiring sight of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima, which marks the location where the Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children in 1917. Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, where the tombs of the three visionaries serve as poignant reminders of their unwavering faith.

As you explore the sanctuary, visit the Chapel of the Apparitions, built on the very spot where the Virgin Mary appeared. Light a candle and offer your prayers in this humble yet powerful chapel, feeling a deep connection to the miraculous events that occurred here over a century ago. Pause for lunch at a local restaurant, savoring Portuguese cuisine while reflecting on the morning’s spiritual experiences. Continue your pilgrimage with a meditative walk along the Way of the Cross through the serene countryside of Valinhos, where the Angel of Peace appeared to the young visionaries. We’ll celebrate Mass at one of the chapels of the Santuary.

As the afternoon ends, carry with you the blessings and spiritual renewal of this sacred day as you return to Lisbon. Reflect on the profound experiences and the sense of peace that comes from visiting such a hallowed place.

The evening is free for you explore one of the fantastic restaurants of Lisbon as you choose.

And her beauty is far more than skin deep. During their cruise, you will find the perfect setting for ‘making an entrance’ in the beautiful reception area – and, appropriately, that’s only the beginning.

When you return to your stateroom, the luxury gets personal. Windstar’s signature bowl of fresh fruit will still be waiting for you, along with rich tufted headboards, soft seascape colors, beautiful new upholstery, and fine count Egyptian cotton linens welcome you to an oasis of relaxing indulgence.

Wind Surf underwent a significant renovation of public spaces and suites, including an expanded lounge with new lights and sound for upcoming stage performances. Relax into the destinations you’re visiting at the new World Spa by Windstar, which will offer regional spa treatments, including massage styles like Swedish, Japanese Shiatsu and Hawaiian Lomi Lomi. An Officer’s Suite, which might be the only one of its kind, provides you with the chance to stay in the heart of the officer quarters tucked right behind the Bridge.

Everything about Wind Surf speaks of welcome. Come aboard and see it for yourself.

Stylish comfort and ocean views welcome you in 188 square feet of beautifully designed comfort.
